Hexalobular Rotary Broaches (.500″ Shank Diameter)
Polygon Solutions’ 1/2″ shank 6-Lobed/ hexalobular rotary broaches are precision ground. All of our 1/2″ shank six-lobed / hexalobular rotary broach tools include a pressure relief vent hole that allows air and fluid to freely escape during the rotary broaching process which reduces wear on your machine and extends the rotary broach tool life. Our hexalobular rotary broaches can be made from M-2, PM M-4, PM T-15 or M-42. All Torx® Broaches can be ordered with TiN or TiCN coatings.
The 6-lobed / hexalobular internal driving feature is ideal for fasteners such as bolts and screws. The six lobe design gives strength to the driver and is resistant to stripping. Broaches are designed to meet international hexalobular standards per ISO 10664.
